driving around this weekend checking out animal shelters, we ran across an ad in the sunday paper for a six year old sheltie named sydney. we drove about 40 miles to go check him out. there he was running around a ranch in escondido ca. we dicided to take him home with us. about 800 dollars later for our apartments "pet deposit," dog supplies and a visit to the vet, here he is! my girlfriends christmas present:beer pete
yeah his a stud. notice his good taste in athletic teams:grin: the people that owned him before didnt want him AFTER SIX YEARS because they had gotten some black labs. he just wandered the ranch with not much attention. the three days we've had him now he looks much happier then when we first saw him. the vet gave him a clean bill of health! pete
What does it take?? I am reminded of a ride I took almost 6 years ago. My wife said she just wanted to look at the dog for sale. I often wonder: what would a dog have to look like for you to NOT want to take it home with you o No: Anyway, we did and we never regretted it. Here's her picture (dog, not the wife  )
Looks like ours! Miniature American Eskimo. We've had her a couple of years now. Got her from the SPCA at about 1 year old after some moron dragged her behind a car for a couple of blocks. 12 kids coming and going from my wifes daycare so she gets lots of attention. Even a little Christmas decorating.
What a lucky dog! Pete, thank god that someone answered the ad that cares about him. Looks like a good find. Happy holidays to the three of you. ShariB
Hey Pete, nice dog! We've got a Sheltie, too. Her name is Maggie and is 5 1/2 years old. Best dog we've ever had. Here's her picture with my 2 youngest kids....
