  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Hi; I just want to say hello to all of you. I am a new member here but not to cars. I have built a few cars over the years but not for a while. I will be rebuilding a car I have had for 26 years, a 1957 buick special conv. It will get a new drive train, bodywork, interior etc. I plan on using a 425 nailhead with a turbo400 and an open rear. Any suggestions are welcome. I will share all information as we go on this project and will have plenty of questions too.
    Thanks, John

I'm a muscle car fan but I have a huge soft spot for hot rods and '50s cars...really nice to see someone taking care of the older Buicks- there's all too few of you guys driving the really old iron. Nice car!:TU:

The original engine was a 364 with a horsepower rating of 250. The current engine in mine is a 1958 engine also 364 ci. but rated at 300 horses.

Hey John, Welcome! Wow another Jersey guy with a 57, cool.
Let me be the first to invite you this Sat. to the Spring Buick Picnic in Holmdel Park. Doesn't matter if you attend in a Buick just as long as you love 'em.
    Hope to see you there:beer
