Well surprisingly it was a huge hit!!!
I have not seen so many Stock Appearing/Factory Stockers and similar cars in a couple of years at Englishtown. I guess the good weather brought them all out. Wow Thanks guys, I also didn't realize that so many of you Stock Appearing guys have sons and daughters who are now of age to drive and they have new muscle cars! There were TONS of new muscle cars there at least over 100 easy!! It was great to see the New Challengers run, new Mustangs, GTO's, Corvettes, Chargers, litterally all of the new muscle detriot has to offer these days.

They were at least 40+ Stock Appearing and Muscle Car Eliminator cars on the otherside of the staging lanes ready to do battle with the newcomers. In battle for the most part the new guys didn't redlight much...for lack of experience in trying to cut good lights I guess?? And the most faceoffs were won by the Old School/Stock Appearing cars,:I am proud to say, you guys having more experience at the track helps out. I saw many new factory stockers I have never seen before, and many familiar faces, Thanks guys for coming out and supporting these type of events. The track had 4 major cleanups to deal with, and did the best they could to keep things moving. Infact as I write this; (6:40 PM) racing is still going on, there were just that many cars.

On a personal note my 71' Mustang 429 Super Cobra Jet, under the guidance of my Uncle George, brought in a very satisfying 12.30@111 mph. And made the final four!! The track hook was fantastic especially as time went on, gluing the track between rounds paid off.

All the racers commented on liking the format and liked having the Stock Appearing cars race against the New School cars. Both sides really seem very enthusiast about this event. We are definitely going to be discussing new School vs. Old School events for next year at E-town.

The final four came down to 2 new Muscle Cars and 2 dead Factory Stock Appearing cars!!!

I will have tons of cool pics to post in the next few days.

All in All a great day to have a Muscle Car of any year. Thanks to all who came down, you guys are the reason we do this sort of thing.
