I am new to the site and to Buick.I just purchased my first Buick about 7 months ago(chevy man at heart). It is a 72 Flame Orange Stage 1 4 speed matching numbers car. It had been sitting in a garage for the past 14 years. I have just completed the chassis and drive train resto.
I am thankful I found this site because there is not a lot of info to be found on these fine vehicles!

P.S. Anyone in the Sacramento area?

    Welcome Orange72,
If you need information for your Stage 1 this is defenitely the site you want . Anything you need to know, from tech questions to where you can find parts is available on this board.
Just browse the site and you can probably find what you want.
    If not, just ask!
We are a pretty friendly bunch and are eager to share.
Try to include your first name in your posts so we will know to whom we are communicating.
While you are on the board, check out the link to the BPG (Buick Performance Group), it is a good organization for us Buick enthusiasts.
Another thing is if your Stage 1 is truly the real deal, check this also:http://mywebpages.comcast.net/455stage1/registry.htm This is Marco's site for the Stage 1 Registry.

    Welcome Orange72

Welcome Orange72! I'm in a similar situation as well because I'm a Chevy man to heart as well. My wife and I just purchased a 1972 Skylark 2 door post. Thinking about doing a GS conversion.

Good luck with your Stage 1 and don't crush'em restor'em!

Welcome aboard Eric. Don't worry, I have Chevy guys in my family. I don't hold it against 'em. But if you could, can you post a pic of the rear end of a Chevy? I don't think I've ever seen one:grin:

    Just a joke, folks.

Hey Jerry, that thing looks GOOD with the big blackout stripe and yellow bumper, very nice!

    Chris,
I have owned both an L78 427- 425HP and an LS7 454- 460HP so this Stage 1 has got to hold it's own especially with fully ported Stage 2 heads, roller rockers, SP1 intake,MSD and Mighty Demon 850.
I can't wait to learn more from everyone about these legends.
    Thanks everyone, Eric.
