A little gal that builds cars brings back fond memories, When I was in high school there was a gal that ran a 427 Ford Galaxy in super stock class at the strip. When she needed some thing heavy lifted, like heads or a block, she would get one of the guys to do that for her. We all thought it was so cute. Also I remember, right after the wife and I got married , she would crawl right under a car with me, get grease on her little face and hands just like I did. LOL. Yep, fond memories.
I get out to the 'Lane once in a while, but I usually make my way out to Welland on Friday nights. This summer, however, now that I've got some wheels again, I'm gonna try and hit up the track as much as possible on Friday and Saturday nights. I'll look you up if I'm in the Falls on a Sunday night, though. :TU: Cool rides you've got! I've always wanted a traditional rod with a Flathead, and I hope to see yours when it's finished. What's your truck got for an engine? A Y-block? Do you or your Dad happen to know Larry Lethby? Big Ford/Flathead guy here in Fenwick who has a '40 with a hot flattie, among others.
I don't know him, but I will ask my dad. He might. He knows all sorts of people:laugh: Im always happy to get in touch with a fellow flatty lover. I'm hoping to get mine all mounted in some time this summer(hoping is the operative word!)
Welcome aboard! :TU: By your avatar picture, you look like and remind me of Stevie Nicks. :Brow: That '62 looks like a real comfortable ride. You cruise much with it these days or what? o No: If you're really into Buicks, this is the place to be. Enjoy your time here. Jim :bglasses:
Well, its going in for some body work this summer. Normally we would do it ourselves, but it was hit last summer(by a stupid bitch that wasn't paying attention:rant: ) and has to go through insurance. Then, the balljoint in the driverside let go, while my fiancee was pulling out of a parkinglot, and the bottom of the wheelwell smashed into the ground and bent the whole corner of the fender up. Good thing about it though, I am able to take it to a good friend of my dads who is an amazing metal man. He will do it, so that there is no bondo. I'd like to keep the bondo free. Its the original paint, so I'm sad that I now have to re-paint it, but what can you do. I am hoping it will be back for some of the summer anyway
