New to Site - Selling 1971 Skyark Parts

Discussion in 'Parts for sale' started by burgsports, May 22, 2011.

Hi. I am parting out my 1971 Buick Skylark due to extensive frame rot. Rather than send it to the crusher, I wanted to sell off all I could from the car. I tried to sell the whole car, but had no takers. I have sold a bunch of parts and a lot of the guys mentioned this site, so I thought I'd give it a try. Just some of the parts I have are:
Hood - $130 - Very good shape. It is NOT a GS hood.
decklid - $110 - good shape, some surface rust
front bumper - a few rust spots and dull chrome - $125
both fenders - passenger $80 (repaired lower section), driver's $45 (repaired lower section plus had large dent on top)
engine/trans - $125 combined (engine is 1977 Buick 350, trans is Turbo 350). I'd like this to be local to Pittsburgh since it would need removed and shipping would be outrageous for this. The engine is missing the valve covers, distributor and 4-barrel intake. I have the orginal 2-barrel intake and carb. This is why it's only $125 combined.

If you're looking for a part, try me. At this point, I'm just looking to get rid of what I can and hopefully help some people out.

    Thanks,

    Burgsports

Welcome aboard. You'll need to post in "Parts for Sale" and check the rules posted at the top of that section. Among them you'll see you need to post prices and location for the parts.

    Hi,
Looking for a couple parts with numbers particular to a '71.
Alternator with # 1100891(non-working is OK) & power steering gear box with a # 007 1 stamped on the top aluminum cover.

    Any rear bumper guards?

    Where are you located?
Might have interest in other parts pending distance to ship.

Hi, first of all, I'm in Pittsburgh. That's in my ad that I already posted. I'm not sure how to put a price on hundreds of parts, so it's confusing to list prices? Anyway....

Steve Craig - I do have an alternator and power steering box, but not sure if they're original. Let me check on the numbers. If they match, they're yours. The rear bumper and guards are gone.

bullisbm - Since I'm new, I can't send a Private Message yet, but all of the wheel well trim is gone. They were all in pretty good shape, so I sold them all to a guy in Akron. Sorry.

dauntless 72 - there was no passenger side mirror with this car, only driver's side. Sorry.

    Thank you all.

Sorry, but I got home late from work and wasn't able to get code numbers off of the alternator and power steering. I'll try for that tonight. I also apologize for the thread getting deleted because of the prices not being posted. I should have just left it as a car part-out and not listed the parts specifically.

    Thanks

    How are the A/C parts?

    Ok.

Steve Craig - Sorry, but nieither the Alt #, nor the Power Steering box # matched. They were close, but no match.

GS4551970 - Attached are pics of the bumper with the guards and rubber corner pieces, all of which are included in the $125 price. After looking closer at it, I do feel the price I quoted is a little high, however since I did post a price, I think I must let it sit for 48 hours before I can lower the price. If nobody is interested in it at that price after 2 days, I'll lower it. If you feel the price is fair and are interested, than great. Shipping to your address would be about $45 using FedEx. I've heard of people using Greyhound, so I tried to get a quote from them, but their site was down. If you'd like to check on shipping, my zip is 15026.

WarHawg75 - I know that all of the AC parts are there. They were removed years ago, but I'm sure I have all of them. It did work prior to removal. Are you interested in any specific part, or the whole system?

Also, I included pics of only some more of the parts I have:
    Parts not noted earlier are:
Wheel Covers - $50 for all 4 - Descent Shape
Soft Seal Wheatherstripping Kit - $100 - Purchased in 2000 for $214 never opened.
    Cowl Trim - $25
Quarter Panel End Trim Pieces? - $20 each

    Thanks,

    Todd

What type of transmission does the car have. Is it a floor shift or a column shift?

what about the passenger door latch , it in good shape? And how about the wiper motor, does it have washer on it and it all works?

  18. wheelz

    wheelz 'B' is for Buick.

Hi..and WELCOME! I would be interested in the firewall A/C fan box only..BOTH HALVES...AS LONG AS the inner half (engine side) is not busted/cracked as they typically are.. Let me know!
I know WarHawg75 inquired first, so I am next in line! :TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay

462 Giley - The steering is gone.

hallja - The transmission is a turbo 350 column shift. I have someone interest in the trans/engine for his 76 Regal, so I'll let you know how that goes.

gmcfamily - I'll call you tomorrow.

Redmanf1 - Both inner fenders were repaired, as well as the core support. Right now, they're solid, but just do not look very pretty.

Geomojr - Both doors are gone. I do have the wiper motor and washer. It did work, so I can't imagine any reason why it still would not work.

wheelz - I do have the box and it is not cracked. We'll wait to see if WarHawg75 responds with interest.
