Hi guys,i am buying a `65 Gran Sport this week and i am new to the nailhead motors,i dont know anything about them,timing,power,aluminum intakes,carbs and so on..any help would be appreciated. Thank you George

George, Welcome to the V8 Buick bunch. You will find these folks here are a wonderful bunch of people. I have been in prosess of restoring a 65 GS myself for the past 15 months or so. I can tell you I would have been lost without the advise and directions I have received from this great bunch of folks. My GS is a 2 door hardtop matching numbers 401 with ST 300 auto trans, tilt steering wheel, remote drivers side mirror and factory air conditioning. The parts for this car I have found have been somewhat hard to come by. My car had been wrecked in the front end I have it back together and I am still trying to find some parts for it. I have been driving it to work every day, and I am loving the feel of the horsepower and ride. I still have to do the body, interior and finish the A/C.
