i am a new guy but i have had my skylark since 1988. it was a triple green 350 2brl. in 91 i started to restore it found the frame was rusted trough in 2 spots so i bought a second one with a good frame . i bought new gm 1/4s and fenders in 91 for the green one and the new one need them alsoso i started the project over from the start. i bought a 70 455 and a turbo action manual vale body 400 and a 9 inch ford from moser eng.. the seond car had perfect white interior and was red so that is what it is now . it has been done since 97 and the motor is now a 462 with a wildcat intake and a 950 holley. stage 2 heads and a stroker kit will be next . i hope tomake the gs nationals next year i have been a member for three years but have yet to make it down for them. the only gs body mods added to my car are a gs front spoiler and this year i am putting on a stage 2 scoop for air cleaner clearence with the wildcat intake. i live in northwest in. and some of the chicago land gs chapter guys have been a little rude to me because my car is not an original color and because it has weld wheels ect. is this a feeling of alot of buick fans or is a guy who builds it the way he likes alright to? i guess i could take the rudeness if i cut up a # match unrestored car. well hope to see you on the web. john
