    Howdy folks!

I'm new to the board, love the friendly layout and atmosphere here. I also go by Boozoo over on the Mopar boards.

A little bit about me... I used to have a '71 Skylark (350) that I was second owner of (was my Mom's) and I was forced to sell it off a while back when I was divorcing 200lbs of dead weight hehehe I really hated to let er go too... I get mad and misty eyed every time I see another. I loved the torque that little "mama's car" had and was planning to start quietly turning into a sleeper (GS on the inside, Skylark with hubcaps and all on the outside). Maybe some day...

As for right now, I have a Mopar (GTX) I bought last year, so I'm learning all about how Ma Mopar did things, have had a '55 Chevy wagon for nearly 20 years now that I'm rebuilding from the ground up (hoping to stuff a Buick engine in it though) and have a '48 Austin doorslammer project going.

As you can see I'm a bit booked up but I do hope to get back into a nice ridin' Buick one of these days.... probably not long after I get pissed off at the Mopar hahaha

    See ya on the boards!
    Glen

Try this one... I haven't updated the site in a few months, but tonight I'm breaking out the digicam so I can get it caught up a little better.

:TU: Looks pretty clean, Glen. Gotta love the styling for that car. Up at my shop/storage place, my buddy's got 2 Mopars- a '69 440 4 speed Superbee and a '70 Dart 340 4 speed. Both need, um, attention. I really want to see my buddy fix one or the other or both and get it (them) on the road. He's got an extra 440 block, too...maybe we could shove the 440 into the Dart:grin:

Thanks! Now that 440 Dart would be cool!

I thought about doing a big block Dart but then my stupid cousin ended up inheriting my grandfather's and trashed it.

So will we be shot for talking about Mopar on here? Will I end up like Mike Price at Alabama? Run off before I even get started? hehehe

No, it's just hard to get a Mopar conversation going is all. Many members here are like me; they just plain like old cars no matter who makes them, but they prefer Buicks. I'd never willingly sell me '70 Skylark, but I'd love to get a '70 Roadrunner with a pistol grip, air grabber and a 440. Just plain cool cars.

    edit~ I'd rather have Kowalski's Challenger:Brow:

This is true :) I'm definitely an "all makes" guy with a soft spot for 70-71 Skylarks and 55-56 Roadmasters.

Have you ever dropped in on Moparchat.com?

But those guys are die hard Mopar and if you ask me, this place seems friendlier :) Within days of getting on here, I was steered to a guy with 455's for sale right in my own back yard.... gotta love that

    I'll check the site, thanks.

It seems that Buick guys have all had such a less than easy time getting parts and info that we all pretty much help each other out without a lot of coaxing. Seems like all Buick guys here want to see other member's cars running strong and fast and looking good. I've had mine since '89 and this is easily the best, most complete, and friendliest source of information for my car I've come across.

I'll see if I can't get a digital camera up to the shop when Dave's not looking and snap a couple pics of his two cars...neither is pretty at the moment. The 'Bee should be B5 Blue and the Dart should be Plum Crazy or whatever the Dodge name for it was. The funny thing is...previous owners painted both cars white:Do No: Weird. I'm hoping that he'll start to tackle one or the other this summer, it's a shame to have those cars mellowly rotting away.
