This may be a bit off topic guys, but what do you think the top value for a 70-72 Skylark is? Up here in Ontario guys are asking $10-12k for nice ones (about $7-9k U.S). I'd love a GS but I think my chances of a rust free one in my price range is about nill. Still, I think these prices for a Skylark are a bit high. What do you think?

Actually, 7-8K sounds about right for a real nice Skylark with a 350. Find a 4-speed car is my advice

I had a dream last night that I found a '70 GSX for 1500 bucks that needed a motor

Were there any 4 speed Skylarks made?? I thought it was 3 speed column shift or auto.

Sure. You could even get a Chevy motor in a Skylark

if you ordered the little L-6 that is

Wow! Does anyone on here own a factory 4 speed Skylark? It would be cool if a 70 was built with the 350 4bbl high compression motor and a 4 speed! Better yet, same drivetrain in a 4 door!
