Picked up a 66' Riviera from Florida just over a month ago this is my first classic car. I got the need for a V8 after my friend let me drive his 66' impala.
Nice & welcome. Looks a lot like my old car. I sold it back in the late '80's in MD to a guy in MI along w/a white '66 Riviera GS.
Welcome from Central Florida. Show us some more pics when you can and keep us informed on what you plan to do.
As requested here are some more pics of my old girl. I also plan to restore her to her former beauty as she has spent some time sitting outside and has some minor body rust thankfully no frame rust. And the engine runs amazingly for a car her age.
It's good to see these old cars surviving and going to good homes instead of to the "automotive recycling center" aka junkyard.
Bringing my 70 Wildcat home to NC today! It was my fathers first car as well as mine. I may let my son take it out when he gets his license in five years just so he can say the same.
That's awesome! I've been kind-of on the lookout for one of those or a 70 LeSabre. My girlfriend's father had Silver/Black 70 LaSabre when she was a kid, a 2-door 455 car. She had it before I met her but had to let it go as it needed too much work for her, at the time.
