My family has out grown my wife's 00 Supercharged Regal. Thinking about selling it and buying a 94-96 Roadmaster Wagon. The wife is not opposed to the idea, especially since I showed her some pics of some nicely done newer wagons (tinted windows, wheels). There was a sweet looking late model wagon at Nat's, Dark Navy with woodgrain, lowered, wheels, tinted windows.:bglasses: I've found some nice low milage cars for decent money, I just have to drive to pick one up.

I would prefer an LT1 car, so does anyone know the VIN code used for the motor in the 9?'s GM big cars (B bodies???)? Any of you guys have one? Is it worth the extra time and effort to find an LT1 car verses a normal 5.7 car?:Do No:
    TIA,

    John,

The 8th digit for the LT1 B-Body wagon is 'P.' The '94-'95 cars are OBD1 diagnostics and the '96 are OBD2. The OBD1 cars respond a lot better to mods. I don't know if you plan to do that or just leave it stock. Go over to ImpalaSS forum - http://www.impalassforum.com/ and register. There is a wagon section and this place is by far the best forum for information regarding the B-Body. Hope this helps! :beer :beer

I've found a few cars already, just no Buick wagon closer that 450 miles away. I also found that all 94-96 wagons are LT1 cars.:bglasses: I plan on leaving the car pretty stock, not a :3gears: , but not a  either. The wife likes a little kick when she steps on the small pedal:Brow: , which was the reason for the supercharged Regal GSE.

That's good that you're finding some wagons. It seems lately wagons are getting hot and a lot harder to find. That's generally the case with the low mileage ones. If you poke around ImpalaSS forum you'll find a lot great information on the wagons. My '95 Caprice sedan started as a L99 4.3 and a year or so after ownership it ended up with a 383 stroker. Too many late nights on the forums does that to a person. Mod fever sets in! There's a lot you can do with just simple bolt-ons and make the LT1 perform really well. Good luck!!
