Would be cool to have while building my Stage 2 but not for crazy money. I wouldn’t run it anyway due to all the bad reviews from back in the day, just to display it with the Vintage motor.
Back in the early 80's I borrowed one from Richard L. that he tricked out. My car ran fast with Richard's 850. Don't remember the difference but was back to back runs at Gainesville Raceway. I always liked my TQ 1000 and going to run one on my next engine.
I've got 2 that I got from Gary P. with jets. David McIntosh will be going through one for me for the engine he's going to build.
I’ve ran so many different carb setups it’s ridiculous. From single barrel, 850-1000 cfm TQ’s to dual quads trying different cfm Carters. ( two 850’s worked best at the track) to the newish big cfm Holley’s. PS: Gary P. Knows the trick to take the bog out of the big 3 barrel Holley.listen to him.
