...it could certainly tow a few. I'm going to be listing my 2004 Eddie Bauer 4x4 turbo diesel Excursion on Ebay on Saturday, but I thought I'd try here first. I bought it new in October of '04 and it has been meticulously maintained and cared for. I changed the oil (all 16 quarts) and filter every 3000 miles and the fuel and air filters every 5000 miles (much shorter intervals than manufacturer recommendation). Has all the original two-tone black and gold paint and has never been damaged. It's loaded with options (see window sticker) and has less than 2000 miles on new tires and front-end alignment. There's about 68k easy miles on it and it has been in the gentle climate of Palm Beach, Florida since new. Still has the remainder of the 100k mile drivetrain warranty. This truck is bone stock, (no chip, no air box), has never been off road and it's only been in 4 wheel drive a few times to lube the front running gear. My wife mainly used it for carpooling kids to and from school and we've taken it on a few road trips. Talk about a comfortable cruiser - it rides like nothing else on the road and gets better fuel economy than my 4x4 F150.

The Excursion was the king of SUVs and 2005 was the last year of production. They've become highly sought after, especially the 4x4 diesel models. It's a great truck, but the kids are in high school now and take the bus and we rarely use it. It stickered at $51,000 and I'm asking $29,000.

I have had absolutely no problems with the motor. I had it in for warranty work on the automatic climate control system. The a/c control head was replaced as well as the vacuum motor that controls the a/c ducts. There was a recall for something with the egr system - recalibration or something? I had that done about ayear ago. The motor runs like a swiss watch.
