Those are some really nice finds, I wish I could have a yard like that by me with that many old cars, I dont care if they are Buicks are not I love me some muscle cars.
If you check out the cars-in-barns webpage, you might see the yellow GSX there. You read the stories about how an owner gets asked all the time about an old classsic that's rotting away but won't sell it. Funny thing is, if someone were to drive by garage and see my old heap parked in the garage, I would be saying the same thing. However, I AM actively working on it.
What's cool is they give before and after stories with a lot of background on some of them...You've gotta see the 4 Hemicuda convertible stories. He's found 4 of the 5 that went to Canada in '70 and '71. The plum crazy car was bare from the firewall forward, and looked stripped out. Dan
Very cool website ! 5 of the 23-24 (for both years) Hemi Cuda convert sold new in Canada :TU: But how many still in Canada now ? o No: I had the opportunity to see a very nice fresh restored 69 Daytona at a car show couple weeks ago . Very impressive ! :eek2:
http://mapleleafmopars.homestead.com/carsinbarns13.html Page 13 The 68 Hemi Charger. I was in that car when I was very young, It belonged to my cousin's uncle and the pictures are taken in his driveway! I didnt know pictures of his car existed!! I believe it had the 440 after the hemi gave up... good memories...
My Mopar buddy in Fort Erie, ON, is restoring an original '65 A990 car. I believe it came to Canada after it had been raced for a few years. Gee... wish I could remember the name the car originally was run under. Something to do with a horse, or a pony or something...
