    *** PICS POSTED BELOW***

I find myself in the unfortunate situation of having to part with one of my fleet. I wanted to try here before I Evilbay it next Saturday.

I'm offering my numbers matching 1971 Bittersweet Mist Stage 1. This car has its original "TS" coded block and "OW" coded transmission, so there's no questioning its authenticity as a real Stage 1. It has black interior, black vinly top, a/c, N25 bumper, sport mirrors, tach/gauges, buckets/console. This car is incredibly solid and will be a very easy restoration project that won't break the bank and you won't be upside down in. The sheetmetal, frame, floor and trunk pan are very nice. There is absolutely no rust on the underside. The car has never been hit and aside from some minor dings, is nice and straight.

It was sold new in Oklahoma and has been sitting in a garage there since 1981 or 1982. Sometime thereafter the motor was rebuilt using NOS crank, rods, Stage 1 cam and TRW (I think) pistons. The low end was done by a reputable Buick engine builder, installed in the car and never completely finished. It's been sitting since then, so I would plan on a rebuild. A non-matching short shaft TH400 is in the car, but the original matching numbers "OW" transmission is included and the car retains its original 3.42 posi rear.

The GS hood, rocker panels, doors, deck lid, fenders, cowl, core support and battery side fender well are all very nice and solid and the car still has its original paint, so nothing is hidden. The bumpers are striaght and the chrome looks to be perfect under the 25 year coating of grime, with no rust on the insides. They would be extremely nice driver quality w/o rechroming. The only issues with the body are minor; a few bubbles are visible under the vinyl top and there is a very small hole (width of a 16p nail) in the lower right corner of the rear window where it's covered by the vinyl. The front clip, bumpers, moldings, etc are off the car. I haven't done a complete inventory, but all the important parts are there. Some incidentals (bolts, trim, etc.) may be missing. I'm going to try to get some pics of the car and parts later today. When I do, I'll post the here.

This is one of the 133 Stage 1's built at the Freemont, California plant in 1971 and is an extremely early build date - last week of August, 1970. It has Fisher body number 00257 and the VIN is 434371Z102400.

This is an opportunity to own a matching numbers, original sheetmetal Stage 1 without having to refinance the house or dip into the kiddies' college fund.

The car is located in Palm Beach, Florida.

Pics added. Bear in mind, the car has not been cleaned and still has 25 years of dust/dirt and grime on it. I don't have a picture of the hood because it's not at the same location as the rest of the car. The hood is in excellent shape, no rust or dents. There is primer on the left fender and a small dent in the dog leg but no bondo there, or anywhere on the car. All the bittersweet mist paint is original. I took several pics of the "TS" code, but they didn't come out. I'll roll the car outside and try again in the sunlight.

Well guys, I posted the pics at 10:47AM and had no other responses until Matt at 5:00PM. Several of you were online during that time (I checked). Look at some of the other cars for sale posts, everyone and his brother asks for pics, then they never respond once they receive them or they're posted. Matt was the only one who PM'd me before and after the pics were posted AND he picked up the phone and called. As far as I'm concerned, he showed the only true interest.

Sorry. I was trying to be fair and at the same time, not lose the sale. I needed this car to go away and couldn't take any chances. Hope there's no hard feelings.

    Single Stage Stage 1?

Sorry guys, I didnt mean to jump in front of anyone. I didnt realize there was a line, I just saw a bunch of people wanting pics. Ive talked to donny about this car since the day he bought it......in fact, I talked to him about an hour after he paid the guy in KY. He told me all the specs/issues and I was going to do some resto work on it. I knew all about it and when it came up for sale, I didnt even need to see the pics. I had all the info I needed. When I saw that the pics were up and no one had replied, I just gave him another call. No hard feelings please. Donny and I are both honest people and would never intentionally "shaft" anyone.
