Mine goes to filter then Ys out and a -10 goes into front of motor and -6 line is drilled with hole saw through drivers side of bellhousing flange on block and goes straight in

Mike's AMP motors now have a dual port on the oil filter and thats where he would get his balance line. My motor has the older single port housing. I need to tee somwhere to get the balance feed. I don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone has already has a set up that works.
    Thanks Rick

I was thinking that the balace went into the driver's side oil gallery not the passenger's :idea2:

I have had mine on the driver's side for a couple years now.

The reason I did was the if the front cam bering failed, it would not cut off the oil to that side.

I thought the purpose of the balance line was to improve oil flow to the rear of the crankshaft via the right (passenger) side galley, from which the mains are fed. Plumbing it to the left galley would be about the same as using the old rear right-to-left galley bypass PAE & Poston used to market years ago.

Just a question but could you make this out of stainless hard line? Mabye 1/4 brake line?

    Just a question.

Correct it is to feed rear main bearings..... 1/4 steel would be to small, It is very simple with -6 line

Is this a good idea for reliability in a street car? (you, know, us guys who hang out in the "Street/strip 400/430/455" forum)

    I certainly see no drawbacks.

Here's how I do it. First modified the block in 1982. I'm on the third rebuild. Added the driver's side line last year after discovering that my rod bearings were beat out. The heavier line is for Class 8 truck brakes. Easy to shape, works great!
