Once again, I have a dumb question. Where should I hook up my mechanical oil guage? Is there a port on the intake manifold for it? If it makes a difference it's a '69 Skylark 350-2.
Not sure if a 69 350 is different, but my 71 350 block has the stock location just below the oil filter. You can install a tee if you want to keep the idiot light functional too. And don't use the cheap plastic tubing, buy a VDO copper tubing kit, or similar kit. I haven't done this myself yet, my 68 has the mechanical gauges already, but I am going to replace the plastic oil line with copper next spring/summer.
Yeah, the gauge was installed by the previous owner, but not hooked up. So it's got the plastic tube, with a brass fitting.
