All I want to do is change the oil lines that move the oil from the pan to the other parts of the engine pat
Pat, Oil is carried to various parts of the motor through the oil galleys which are cast into and part of the block. There is nothing to change. Are you having oil pressure problems?
I thought oil lines carried oil up to the heads i guess ya learn something new every day. pat p.s. i am not a gear head by any standars i am just learning.
No Pat. The oil pump simply pulls oil from the pan and pushes it through the engine via passageways that are cast into the engine block. Aftermarket setups are available for a remote oil resevoir (called a dry sump). Also, there are other setups done with lines, but they are pretty much for race-only applications and are not practical for a street car.
