    OK, but why?

What have you gained with Mobile One Synthetic????:Do No:
Fuel economy, better ET, or just feel it lubricates better.

In my daily driver i've picked up about 1mpg. on the highway, when i switched to synthetic oil. In a race engine you can run a lower viscosity and get the same protection as the heavier conventional oils. Lower viscocity, less drag, more useable horsepower. I've heard rumors that Pro stock drag racers use 00w00 Royal purple synthetic oil.

In Richie's car we ran Penzoil 10w-30 Synthetic or 30w synthetic I can't remember which but it was one or the other.

I personally used to run Royal Purple. I run 10/30 Mobil 1 in the wife's car. My Olds buddy runs Mobil 1 in his car and just spun a bearing (again) due to he revved to 7G and the pistons hit the head, but the bearing weren't as bad as you'd think. I was impressed.
