One win, one loss, with gf's es300..

    EEE Straight out of lo-cash!

Me and the gf went camping for the weekend driving up to Yosemite>Reno>Napa in her ES300. I was driving and she was mapping the whole way. In Napa we come up to a red light where this fartpiped civic is sitting waiting. He keeps inching forward as we get up next to him, and I check to see what he's up to by inching forward too and at the same time munching down as many milk dudds as I can. Gf has her face buried in the map department and has no clue on what is about to happen. It's a slow start but I can sense he's going for it, and I keep it in and he tries to get his nose ahead of mine but he just slowly dissapears as I'm grinning with one hand in the milk dudds box and one on the wheel. Gf has now realised what's going on and shakes her head. It's an easy win and he has to let off and fall in behind my car and then crosses over to exit the street. His plan was of course to go in front but no go.. Round two comes on the freeway driving home. The (5) freeway is like a never ending straight edge for five hours, you just try to keep a good flow and count the miles. As we're 2/3rds down the road we approach a metalic blue subaru with a huge wing and hood scoop. We pass it doing 100mph and I can see it has those little pink sti(?) stickers on the front bumper. He apparently didn't like that and starts to come back and as he is about to pass I go for it too. We're pretty even surpisingly and we get up to about 130mph and I now have to go in behind him as we have to pass traffic. I realise I will never get back up there, but he doesn't pull away by much. I really thought those cars had more punch but maybe at those speeds things slow down when it comes to accelerating.

Yes, I had an STi. The first 3 or 4 gears are amazing, but 5th and 6th are when they lose their punch. Fun cars though. :3gears:
