Here are some more engine detail pics. This one is the NOS upper rad hose. You can see how it fits nice between the air cleaner scoops. This shape is no longer made unfortunately.
My Stamp made air cleaner hose with correct markings and reproduction date coded decal on wiper motor
Hi Dave, I am interested in the 5/16 evap hose that goes from the can to the hard line under the firewall. Also the P.S return hose. Anyway to do a top 350 rad hose, non a/c, 4 bbl non gs air cleaner ? Also, where did you get the yollow spring clip for the 5/16 hose ? yellow seems hard to find Thanks for the help. Everything looks AWESOME. Steve Also, Do you know if a 71 350 had the pcv hose bracket that attaches the the choke spring housing like the 455 has ?
Dave, Your attention to detail is unreal. Is this a Stage car as well? Fantastic work! You should be proud of yourself, you've done an amazing job bringing this car back to the day when that license plate was still new. :TU:
Brett, Yes it is stage-1 car. but not matching engine. It has correct part numbers and date codes however. Thanks for the compliments. I plan on having the car at a show next Sunday in Marlboro Mass at The Best Western I think on Rt, 20 ---------- Post added at 04:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:24 AM ---------- SJB89, A 71 would use 5/16" evap hose as well as a 1/4 evap hose. I can make both. I looked at the 71 assembly manual and the upper hose is the same for a GS 350 and GS 455. The Skylark is different Which do you have? I can get the yellow clamps as well. A 71 would not have a clip on the choke therm as it would not fit. 71 had a wire shield with a notch for the PCV hose on 455 maybe 350 was same.
Major set back today. Discovered big leak at rear main seal. Funny knock coming from back of engine as well. Out it comes...Not fun. Managed to dent the ol pan as well when the jack slipped. Not a good day.
