Well, I think I finally have my hood tach working properly, and plan on checking it on a car tonight. My question is: What is the best method of sealing these up to PREVENT the fogging on the lenz? Yeah, I know a good silicone seal around ALL gasket surfaces, but what about venting? What have you tried that worked, and didn't? I don't want to re-invent the wheel..o No: Oh, and if you buy anything electronic and the seller will not guarantee it, EXPECT to repair it. I asked both the hood and dash tach sellers if they work. Both said they were working when removed in the early 90's, but couldn't guarantee they STILL work! Neither one worked, the hood tach CLEARLY could NOT have worked for 3 reasons I found. The jury is still out on the dash tach, but I'm quite sure it didn't work either.:af: I guess if it doesn't work, just put it on ebay.:stmad: ou:
DASH TACH DAN, I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN THE DASH TACH IF ITS IN GOOD COND HOW MUCH? THANK YOU RANDY PECK
What was the problem with the hood tach and how did you fix it? I like to fix my original hood tach although I'd keep the repo on my car.
Howd I fix it? I went to college majoring in electrical engineering.:Brow: If you don't have an electronics background, you'd be wise to leave it alone or have a rep shop repair it. I didn't have near the equipment needed at home, and had to depend on a buddy to repair some at work (he works in electronics), other things I did repair at home.:bglasses:
