Max Damage I'm working on it!

From my point if view that's not a hobby, it's a full-time job. Enjoy!

I enjoy reading and large-scale model trains. I don't have enough time to do much with the trains though. The bride is a professional-level clarinetist and loves to play. She is eagerly awaiting her second Covid shot so that she can rejoin the local concert band.

If it's any consolation, I'm 6'8" and have very large hands. It's amazing what you can learn to do with tweezers, and how it helps with attention to detail. The other day I used both skills to fix a model railroad locomotive that defeated me over 20 years ago when I first bought it. (My kid wanted me to set up the trains, so we started with that a week ago, so yet another hobby) I never used to have patience or could fiddle with tiny bits. Now I do both; try and fix a Swiss automatic wristwatch, there are a lot of tiny parts that only fit one way. So of course it's a hobby I take up when I'm old and jerky and going blind; - so everything is done with tweezers and under at least 3 layers of glass. :D

I should look up those videos, because yes, I believe he would dive deep.

I like propelling led projectiles at high velocity, and making holes in things that previously had none.

I collect music. Never got into vinyl because I was afraid I'd get ripped off so I just stuck with CD reissues of rare LPs--I'm more into the music than actual collectibility. I befriended a guy with a large collection, and I've since created a nice library of encyclopedias and other books that support collecting music.

(Interesting aside: There's an entry of an LP with a name that sounded familiar. Location was in MI. Turned out it was one of my friends who races in Pure Stock put out an obscure LP in 1975 or so with his coworker.)

I also collect car magazines, which is mainly from my youth to the present. I never really threw away an issue from the 1980s up to now, though I did unload most of my C&Ds because it simply was too much paper. I tried to get into the old stuff but that too started to be too much, so I've mainly focused on special issues like "Supercars 1970-1/2." The only way to learn about what's out there is to spend a lot of time on eBay.

When I was younger, I used to collect Brooklin models, but it must be 30 years since I bought one.

    BUICKRAT Got any treats?

Recently whittling down my hobbies, not enough time, but my keepers are my guitars and marshall amps (used to play in rock bands), fly fishing (and yes, I tie all my own), vintage audio equipment, model trains-mainly HO scale stuff, firearms, gardening, and of course my Buick! Think I might have ADD? Oh, and just lately I teamed up with a buddy who makes his own wine, some really good stuff, too! Still perfecting my Italian sausage ingredients. I need to retire so I have time for all this stuff...

I'd like to try golf but I'm scared I'd like it too much and don't have the time or $:). Would love to drag race regularly again (did a decent amount back in the '80's). Have always wanted to & maybe will take up fine woodworking someday.

I used to collect Coca-Cola memorabilia way back when the old stuff was affordable. Had quite the nice collection back in the day. Also went to a bunch of different NASCAR tracks back in the '90's.

Idk if home improvement counts as a hobby per se but have done plenty of it and am a pretty good (albeit slow) amateur electrician, pipe fitter/plumber, carpenter, etc. Have more tools for more various trades than anyone probably should. Also had a need in business at one point to learn and ultimately learned a lot about machining and really enjoy that although I'd barely even classify myself as an amateur machinist. I do have a pretty high end CNC mill, Bridgeport, manual lathe, etc. and lots of neat machinist tools.

But by far, the most enduring hobby/interest however has been restoring cars (and collecting parts for same).

My yard... well property, is my other hobbies. Yard looks like a golf course. The other 5 acres of woods is starting to look like a park setting. Professional volleyball course is coming down and putting in a water pond.
Other is my guns. And then restoring old Gas pumps, Trying hard to keep my mind from drinking,
Oh, and golf, not a bad player at all.

last I played was a 77 . most times which depends on golf courses is around mid 80's. don't drink at all when I play. too fun to not to.
Oh, my Dad was a golf pro somewhere in Chicago when after WWII. Guess he was a killer at the courses and taught a lot. That's how he met my mom.

Wow Guy, that is some great scoring! You should be proud you can play at that level! I have only shot a 79 twice at Otter, so not many 70's rounds for me!
PS. I'd guess golf is my hobby. I might get to play twice a month. I wish it was much more than that but I don't have many golf buddies with the same "need" to play.
PPS. In 1964 my dad worked in drafting and test at Cummins in Columbus IN. He was assigned to ride a golf cart with Robert Trent Jones to document and make drawing of RTJ' thoughts of completing the course. He had no idea who RTJ was and didn't appreciate the experience until later in life. Otter is the only RTJ course in Indiana. Fun fact, the only 9 hole course Pete Dye ever designed is also in Columbus, IN, named Greenbelt.

My wife and I like the quiet of backcountry (way out)hiking, multiday trips. It is an awesome break from life.... She likes the flowers and overall beauty of nature and the animals. I like the power of nature, always looking for remote waterfalls of any size. Found by looking at topography maps. Sometimes knowing you are the only people within 25-30 miles or more can be great but spooky  this is something we do year round as long as it's above 0

The hobby we both enjoy is speed both positive and negative:). We spend a great deal of time building and restoring, tuning, and driving dragsters. Also helping others enjoy the history of drag racing. Putting people in our cars for a warm up is almost as fun as driving...Almost :D Buicks are preferred but when addictive hobbies control your lives you'll even drive a Chrysler....
