    72gsBuick Never Say Never..

When blocking a car, what is the purpose of it, i know its to remove the high and low spots, but how can you achieve that, do you block it by applying surfacing primer then sanding it, or do you use the spot putty to fill the low spots, i know you hammer down the high spots but what i just dont really get yet is how do you achieve the straighness with the primer or putty...also what is a good primer to use when painting saturn yellow (like gsx) do you get a certain color for the primer, also anyone have pictures i can use of the unussual countours of the buick gsx or a skylark mainly need the contour of the front fender above the well, doors, and rear, i know you can see the contour when a car is painted and since mine is not yet done, i cant really get the shape of it so i need pics for reference...thanks
