after a local car show recently we had a cruise night in town and alot the ol hot rods were out cruising. some guy let his teenage son take his 69 camaro out and cruse and he was having alot of fun in it. so i pulled over and waited for him and when he came around i jumped in behind him so i could catch him at the next light. as we sat there he did a burnout and was hollering out his window, "you want some of this?" when the light turned green i dropped the hammer on my 71 buick gs stage 1 455 and it was over in a heartbeat, he didnt even manage to stay beside for a second i was just gone and he was a memory. i pulled over and parked my beast afterwards and he pulled in wanting to see what i had. of course he had never even heard of a gs stage 1 so i gave him a little history on the car. needless to say, he was instantly a fan of the car and has started looking for one for a project!

A "chump" would have told you that you beat him because :
...he couldn't hook up.. or his tranny is slipping...or his carb is going bad... or the sun was in his eyes... etc.. :Dou:

He sounds more like someone who has finally seen the light.

yea i just called him a chump cause he was just a kid and couldnt really drive the car, if he was a little more experienced he coulda stayed alot closer than he did! he was a good kid though just young and wild. :Smarty:

It's always nice to hear when a young man is saved from the Chevy " If it's not a Chevy, it's nothing " indoctrination. Right on. :TU: John.
