"Don't have anything to do foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lords servent must not quarrel; Instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who Oppose him, he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentence leading them to a knowledge of the Truth, and they will escape from the trap of the Devil, who has taken them captive to do his will"

And shortly afterward Paul was excecuted. So we really have it quite good when a few members try to rile us up. But opposition whether its derogetory remarks, or excecution, was predicted by Jesus himself. So everytime we get ridiculed, prophecy is fullfilled.

Make fun of me all you want for calling on my Lord and Savior. He said you would :TU: But know this, youns are in my Prayers :TU: :TU:

While it really cuts to have someone mock the name of Jesus, I don't feel pain when I am mocked by others for my faith. More like I feel sad. I was once one of those mockers...

One day a 6 year old girl was sitting in a classroom. The teacher was
    > going to explain evolution to the children. The teacher asked a little
    > boy: Tommy do you see the tree outside?
    > TOMMY: Yes.
    > TEACHER: Tommy, do you see the grass outside?
    > TOMMY: Yes.
    > TEACHER: Go outside and look up and see if you can see the sky.
    > TOMMY: Okay. (He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I saw the sky.
    > TEACHER: Did you see God up there?
    > TOMMY: No.
    > TEACHER: That's my point. We can't see God because he isn't there.
    > Possibly he just doesn't exist.
    >
    > A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the boy some questions.
    > The teacher agreed and the little girl asked the boy: Tommy, do you see
    > the tree outside?
    > TOMMY: Yes.
    > LITTLE GIRL: Tommy do you see the grass outside?
    > TOMMY: Yessssss!
    > LITTLE GIRL: Did you see the sky?
    > TOMMY: Yessssss!
    > LITTLE GIRL: Tommy, do you see the teacher?
    > TOMMY: Yes
    > LITTLE GIRL: Do you see her brain?
    > TOMMY: No
    > LITTLE GIRL: Then according to what we were taught today in school, she

Greg Schmelzer What are you looking at?!

"Faith is to believe what we do not see, and the reward of faith is to see what we believe."

    Saint Augustine

This reminds me of a story.

"The fields were parched and brown from lack of rain, and the crops lay wilting from thirst. People were anxious and irritable as they searched the sky for any sign of relief. Days turned into arid weeks. No rain came.

The ministers of the local churches called for an hour of prayer on the town square the following Saturday. They requested that everyone bring an object of faith for inspiration.

At high noon, on the appointed Saturday, the townspeople turned out en masse, filling the square with anxious faces and hopeful hearts. The ministers were touched to see the variety of objects clutched in prayerful hands--holy books, crosses, rosaries,

When the hour ended, as if on magical command, a soft rain began to fall. Cheers swept the crowd as they held their treasured objects high in gratitude and praise. From the middle of the crowd, one faith symbol seemed to overshadow all the others: a small nine-year old child had brought an umbrella."

    Laverne W. Hall

This is exactly what faith is. To believe without seeing, to trust without fear. I thank God each and everyday for everything He has given me and know that I am always safe in believing that He is with me always.

    otter It'll be done someday.

I try not to get into arguments about faith anymore since it is "faith" and you can't convince someone to change their beliefs. There are satan's puppets out there doing his work and preaching evolution with not a shred of evidence to support their fairy tale and I can show people scientific proof against it all day but if they believe me then it would mean that there is a God and that they are sinful and people don't want to face that they are "bad" and so they close their minds and their ears to the truth rather than to repent and put their faith in something they can't touch. Boy are they going to feel foolish standing before Christ and all the heavenly hosts as they try to talk their way out of hell.

    Faith!

Thought you guys might find this intersting.

A university professor asked his students, "Did God create everything that exists?"

A student bravely replied, "Yes, he did!" "God created everything?" The professor asked. "Yes sir", the student replied.

The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created evil. Since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are, then God is evil".

The student became quiet before such an answer. The professor was quite pleased with himself and boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth. Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a question professor?"

"Of course", replied the professor. The student stood up and asked, "Professor does cold exist?"

"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?" The students snickered at the young man's question. The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and energy is what makes a body or matter have or transmit heat. Absolute zero (- 460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat," the student continued.

    "Professor, does darkness exist?"

The professor responded, "Of course it does".

The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this not correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."

Finally the young man asked the professor. "Sir, does evil exist?"

Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already said. We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."

To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of good. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of good. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith, or love that exist just as does light and heat. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

The professor sat down. The young mans name --- Albert Einstein

The following are quotes from Albert Einstein:

Great Spirits will always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

If one purges the Judaism of the Prophets and Christianity as Jesus Christ taught it of all its subsequent additions, one is left with a teaching which is capable of curing all the social ills of humanity.

    I hope you like it.

    Jesus in Your Heart

Here is a great little story that will pick up your spirits as we get closer to Spring.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Tomorrow morning," the surgeon began, "I'll open up your heart..." "You'll find Jesus there," the boy interrupted. The surgeon looked up, annoyed. "I'll cut your heart open," he continued, "to see how much damage has been done..." "But when you open up my heart, the boy continued, you'll find Jesus in there."
The surgeon glanced over at the parents, who sat quietly. "When I see how much damage has been done, I'll sew your heart and chest back up and I'll plan what to do next." "But you'll find Jesus in my heart. The Bible says He lives there. The hymns all say He lives there. You'll find Him in my heart." The surgeon had had enough. "I'll tell you what I'll find in your heart. I'll find damaged muscle, low blood supply, and weakened vessels. And at that time I'll find out if I can make you well." "You'll find Jesus there too. He lives there." The surgeon turned and left. The surgeon sat in his office, recording his notes from the surgery,"...damaged aorta, damaged pulmonary vein widespread muscle degeneration. No hope for transplant, no hope for cure. Therapy: painkillers and bed rest. Prognosis: "Here he paused, "death within one year." He stopped the recorder, but there was more to be said. "Why?" he asked aloud. "Why did You do this? You've put him here; You put him in this pain; and now You have cursed him to an early death. Why?" The Lord answered and said, "The boy, My lamb, was not meant for your flock for long, for he is a part of My flock and will forever be. Here, in My flock, he will feel no pain and will be comforted as you cannot imagine. His parents will one day join him here, and they will know peace, and My flock will continue to grow." The surgeon's tears were hot, but his anger was hotter. "You created
that boy and You created that heart. He'll be dead in months. Why?" The Lord answered, "The boy, My lamb, shall return to My flock, for he has done his duty. I did not put My lamb with your flock to lose him, but to retrieve another lost lamb."
The surgeon wept. He then sat down beside the boy's bed and the boy's parents sat across from him. The boy awoke and whispered, "Did you cut open my heart?" "Yes," said the surgeon. "What did you find?" asked the boy. "I found Jesus there," said the surgeon.
