I was on my way to Maryland by way of Ohio (which also sucks) and I think the entire state of Pennsylvania has a 55 mhp speed limit.
Then it rained, I was pulling a car on the trailer and all of a sudden everyone slammed on their brakes!!! I guess they are all scared of the rain when they drive there, there was people stopping on the highway!!!!
And the cops, every 1/4 mile there was a state trooper!!!

I agree, Pa. sucks. Much worse years ago when the tunnels were single lane and there were lots more of them. Sometimes took 10+ hours to cross the state. Have had many scares and a coupla bad accidents crossing the mountains to and from Philadelphia. Their idea of plowing is to push the snow onto the shoulder and let it melt and refreeze each night in the inner lanes. Brilliant.

They keep the speed limits down to keep from scaring the Amish horses.

I guess it just depends on what state you are in as to your opinion of which state sucks more.......
I lived in PA till I was in my mid 30s then moved to the Maryland shore.....they got snow flurries and people were driving 15mph, in 4wd vehicles. I was scootin by @ 65 in my GTO.........We got a total of 7" of snow the next morning, and I showed up for work(on time) in a frt drive olds, and the only other 2 people who showed were in 4x4s.......some of the guys with 4x4s said they couldnt make it out of there driveways.
Im not sure if I could say that the entire state sucks or any other state, but, I can say some of their drivers do. But you get that everywhere, from the guy in the slow lane with his left turnsignal blinking for over 100 miles, to the guy who switches lanes every 20 seconds, or the guy drivin 55 in the Hammer lane, to the panic stop brake checks, the guy tailgating motorcycles, or pulling out in front of them........I could go on and on(maybe because Im a proffessional driver, yes, Im a Chauffer, when Im not grabbin gears in my hot rod, Im crusing in the BIG WHITE CAR.
So my thoughts.....BAN LOW PERFORMANCE DRIVERS, NOT HIGH PERFORMANCE CARS!!(stole that saying from Car Village in Lebanon PA, they sold only Muscle Cars, too bad they are no longer in buissness, with the BJ auctions as popular as they are now they would have made a killing!)

    I live in PA

I live in PA and I will say the PA Turnpike is a national embarressment(except out toward the east end of the state) I always say you have to pay $$ to beat your car to death and to raise your frustration level. The mountain area between Sommerset & Bedford is notorius for truck accidents often closing the turnpike for hours on end. The PA turnpike ahd a glorious past, but a dismal present and future.

A common thing people say when traveling away from PA is they can always tell as soon as they get home from the roads.

To many chiefs and not enough Indians on the highway work force.

Everytime we drive through PA on rt.90, they are always closing lanes for construction........been that way for as long as I can remember. I'll never forget the night about 8 years ago coming home from cedar point they were resurfacing a crossroad below and didn't close the exit I was taking to get gas. We got on the ramp and had to sit there for almost 1 hour, This was at 2AM.....I was exhausted and I had my kids in the car and wanted to get home. I got really pi$$ed and drove past the line of cars and semi's and over the new pavement....... .......the crew was yelling at me as I drove over the island that divided the highway so I could get back on rt 90 and go home. I would have lost my license if a trooper would have caught me. And yes, I had the Riv.......the frame scraped the pavement as I went over the island. :Dou: I just had enough gas to make it to the next exit, and I was scared to death the troopers were looking for me. :eek2:
