I finally found my nice set of rally wheels... get this, about 6 blocks away from home :TU:

Anyway, I'm contemplating what color to go with. Most people repaint their wheels 'black' but I'm considering a shade of argent silver. I'm looking for 2-3 examples, maybe light, medium, and med-dark argent. Any takers?

    Cheers
    Jeff ~

probably not... Mine is meant to be a true daily driver.

I found these pics from about a month ago... Proof that I at least have the car that I've been talking about :bla: Everything is put together now and running... just trying to figure out a 'missing' issue.

I know they aren't buick rallyes, but it might give you a rough idea. These are the Chevelle AO rallyes on my Skylark, and they are all painted argent. Being out of the country and on the hunt for a fourth wheel to replace one has made repainting them difficult...

This might help a little bit...

If you are asking for opinions I like the black and the one on the right and below the black one. the others besides the hammered metal one wash out the wheel and make it look blah!

Jeff --I assume that you are looking for honest comments since you posted this. What you are proposing eliminates the contrast between the chrome and the black background. I think keeping the black background gives you the contrast and looks much better.

Thanks guys ~ The 'hammered' and 'aluminum' (looks white with flash) are not considerations. It's between the black, dark pewter, and medium pewter. FWIW, the medium pewter is what I've used to replace the argent silver on the dash and taillights but I'm not sure it's dark enought for the wheels.

I'll have pics of the finished wheels tomorrow :kodak:

Ooooohh, shiny! :TU: I vote for the black, as well. Think I'll go do mine when I get some time, even if they are the non-chrome ones with trim rings.

I saw ones painted copper mist - body color, and red ones on a white riv that looked ok - but I prefer the black
