The factory dual system has two resonators under the front floor pans, with a dual in/out transverse muffler between the rear axle and truck. I'd just install pipe in place of the resonators, unless you want it to be REALLY quiet.

they worked great! shipping was not alot, i think it was about 300 or 400 clams with shipping.
took about 3 weeks to arrive. I got a set that was 1'' lower than stock.

thanks andy thats what we are going to do.

I got this set from classic exhaust its ok but the right side hits the frame so we will need to heat it up and bend it a bit.

I wont be using these guys again you get what you pay for

They sent me samples of seat fabric for my '61. They were right on. If you don't mind my asking, how much did the carpet set you back?

Alot of people I know talk alot of trash about SMS. Especially regarding the time it takes to get anything from them. And the price of course.

I purchased vinyl seat material from them a while back for my fronts. They also did the heat set pleats for me. Yes, it took them a long time and yes it cost me an arm and a leg. But! the material was a drop dead match. They sent samples at no cost and even suprised me when they sent additional samples without me asking.

The guy I spoke to I believe was the owner, I don't remember his name. He was hard to get ahold of but when I did get him he was very helpfull.

Although alot of local people and upholstery shops curse the name (SMS), I would give them a thumbs up.

That is excellent. I trust the fitment was good, no unusual problems? From the picture, it definitely loos like the salt and pepper original.

I noticed when I took mine out there was some thick-ass padding in the front. Did you put any of that back in or perhaps something similar?
