  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things.   3. The "Group Buy" for the 1967-68 Deluxe Steering wheel recasting is now officially "Open". Now is the time to start sending in the wheels. The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. If you send in more than one wheel, each additional wheel will cost $700. Shipping and insurance to Kochs and return shipping will be extra. Pinion Angle Help

    Well finally getting ready to actually check it and scale the car this week after I change rear springs. I'm running Southside lowers without dropdown brackets and Art Morrison adj uppers that I bought from Tom Rix and just put on with his adjustments, and the HR Parts-n-Stuff swaybar. Just wondering the desired pinion angle for my combo.

    Since it is still of the four link persuasion, the recommended pinion angle should still be 3 to 4 degrees down.

    Don't get caught up in "Pinion Angle affecting traction"......This is a common misconception.
    Your instant center is what affects the "Hit" on the tires at the starting line.
    You will want 2-3 degrees pinion angle but this should be in relation to the tailshaft of the transmission....Not the Driveshaft.

    I checked it and I was at -5 degrees, evened up the uppers and put regular springs back in and I'm sitting at -4 degrees now. Adjusted the HR Parts-N- Stuff swaybar so there is 0 preload. If the weather permits I will be going to the track on Sunday.

    OK, made a few adjustments after going to the track I put the Moroso springs back in, didn't like the cargo coil ride height or hook. Is this correct with the car on jackstands with suspension loaded my tailshaft is 6 degrees down and the pinion is 4 degrees up my understanding is this is 2 degrees pinion angle. When I went to the track the car just didn't seem like it transfered the weight like it did with the Moroso springs I spun real bad ended up with 10.77 @ 124.85 with 1.60 60' what I gained with the Super Sucker spacer went out the window because I wasn't able to use my ram-air (working on a new one now) and I spun. :3gears: Just a few last minute tweaks before BG.

    Todd, i had the same issues with pinion angle. I broke a tailshaft housing in Norwalk. From my understanding, you DO NOT want the pinion up & the tranny down. Will create a bind in the driveline. You want both (tranny & pinion) in the same direction. Tranny shields etc prevent you from getting the trans up where it should be. (my situation) Usually, tailshafts are -4 or -5 from factory. I can give you more ideas if you wish, throw me a PM, like i said i had the same trouble recently. Randy
