  1. need to know about some pistons.. PLZ.?? part # L2431F. says they will fit buick 350 ( i have a 71 standard bore) pistons have 24.1cc cup which yeilds 8:1 compression ratio, bore size is 3.800. Will these work in my motor? bought them cheap. ( they are TRW forged) if they WILL work, what will it take to get my comp ratio back to at least 8.5:1 ???? every little help is greatful... thanx: :Do No:  :puzzled: This is what auction said ..... : Brand New Never Used set of forged pistons from TRW. Part # L2431F. STD in size for 231 or can be used in 350 Buicks. They have a 24.1cc cup, which yields a 8:1 compression ratio. Bore size is 3.800.

Milling the heads might help some but then theres the intake to take into account. A thinner head gscket but that is only going to help so much. I think you might have to go with different piston. I have decided to try to do a blower motor witha buddy and he might be interested in your pistons. I think he wants a 30 over though. Try to sell them to some one looking just for some pistons that want to lower there comp. and trade them. I hope it works out for you.
