    Hi Everyone,

Where can I find the plastic rubbing strips that snap into the core support behind the headlights?

I have a an NOS Rad core support going into a 71.

    The 71 dosen't have them.

The Rad core I'm sure is a 71-72 part and have read that there are some differences. I found one of them.

    Thanks for the help.

if u are refering to the 12 "headlight bearings" that he headlights mount against, then i purchased a set, a year ago, from dave robert, one of the fellows on this site.

I believe those parts(rubbing contacts) are salvage yard item only.
I assume you need all 12??? If so, contact me directly, I may be able to get some this Sat when I visit the local salvage yards. The date code for the core support is stamped next to the driver's side high beam opening. Should be SAE71 for 1971. GStage1@buickperformance.com

Do a search on "headlight bearing." There was a thread a year or so ago where someone found a source for these new.

    Thanks for the advise everyone.

George I will send an e-mail per your request.

The core support in the car is SAE70 and I'm relpacing it with an SAE71.

The 70 is shot and the 71 is NOS I had from years ago.

The link had some interesting hardware but that is not what the "Headlight Berings" are, thanks though.

    Thanks again everyone.

    Have a good weekend.

It is going to rain here so hopefully I can get some time to finish installing this support.

I tried the link from the other post and it does not work.

I did remember seeing them somewhere and found them.

I found the headlight rubbing contacts new.

    What a great resource.

Thanks again George and the team.

I will go through the catalog and place an order.

There are things listed in there that I didn't think were even available.

I'll go for the new headlight bearings.

    Thanks Again.
