    Hi All,

I am looking for the molding that goes around the lower sides and edges of my 71 GS bucket seats, they cover the slide tracks from the side view and wrap around the corners. It is not the large base molding avalaible in all the cataologs they are narrow plastic moldings, 2 pieces per seat attached by small black plastic press in screws. Can anyone identify them by name and advise where they can be purchased, is anyone making them?

    Thanks for all your help.

I think the moulding you describe was only used on a power bucket seat track. Regular manual seats don't use this.

Do you have any of yours still?? If so you could make a set if nothing else.

Go to a plastic supply place and see if they have any scraps or smaller pieces of ABS plastic sheet. Find some in a similar thickness and you should be able to make some. Typically, the stuff comes in black and it is already textured on one side. The texture may not be exactly the same but it probably won't be extremely noticeable.

Use a heat gun to bend it if it wraps around the back and front of the seat tracks. You can fill the back of your old ones with epoxy, etc to stiffen them up and make a form to bend the new stuff around.

Are yours missing any pieces or just broken??? If no missing pieces and not too many breaks you could probably repair yours.
