71Convt what year head are you running, 455 heads are bigger that 68 but it should be around 10 to 1 depending on where the piston is at in the hole and what head gasket you run.

Joeslark I will let you know when this other cat makes up his mind.

    Thanks Basil

    northcorner Guess what I'm thinking..

I'm gonna pass on the pistons, I DO want to end up at 8:1. Sorry to hold things up.

I am running 430 heads, which are 68CC and have the big ports. Block is decked .020 and I plan on using the standard .040 Felpro so I suspect I will be just under 10:1 which is ideal. I started my build with some pistons to get me 8.5:1 so I will be ditching those to get higher comp incase the last guy is interested. My finances just changed for the better, so I can afford to do what I want now, versus what my budget dictates. Are the pins on these press in or do they float with the c-clips? I am trying to decide if I want the Speed Pro Hyper at $300 or yours at $500 right now.

    Thanks,
    Jon

    Jon,
If your pistons are zero in the hole your compression would be 10.41 to 1. But that depends on how far your pistons are in the cylender. The pins are press fit.
    Thanks, Basil
