Our brother Tim Pickard has passed away. Prayers requested for Tim, his family and friends. http://www.hallfuneral.net/index.cfm
I am really sorry to hear about Tim . We talked several times and he told me about his condition . I figured he was getting worse as I have no theard from him in several weeks . That is really depressing with the cancer we are treating here at home .
I never met Tim, I never spoke to Tim but I have followed this thread in the hope things would work out for him. If a measure of a man is how he deals with what life throws at him then Tim was a man to be admired and respected. I'm sure I speak for all Buick fans on this side of the pond when I send my deepest sympathy and best wishes to his family.
Darn:blast: We'll miss you Tim. I hope to meet you there someday. To the Pickard family, I pray you find peace and comfort in the Lord at this time. Tim included us in his battle with cancer. Heck....he'd encourage us more than we did him! Those of us who didn't know him pesonnally must have really missed out. Those of us who met him here are honored to have been included in his life, especially his last days.
My heart is saddenned yet I know from Tim's faith this was a homegoing for him. I shared in another post with him that we'd meet one day in heaven since I did not have the opportunity to meet him here on earth. As a believer, I admire his faith through our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray at this time that our Lord send another comfortor, the Holy Spirit, to provide for the Pickard family's needs as well as for strength, peace, and comfort.
Wow, that's sad to hear, but what a story he's left for us here on the V8 board. I'm thankful to Tim for sharing his battle and his faith, and I look forward to meeting him later. May God bless his family! And may Tim's story -- especially as it is encapsulated here at V8Buick -- lead others to know Christ like he knows Christ.
Well this sucks. I spoke to him a few times and he was a car guy just like the rest of us. Real nice guy. What a shame. My prayers are for him and his family. P.S. I was staring at his number in my phone just the other day and said " I need to call and see how he is". Funny how things go sometimes. At least he can now talk cars with some of the best car guys ever.
Sorry to hear about Tim's passing. But yet I am confident of where Tim will spend eternity. His strong faith during his illness was an inspiration to me. I can recall the first time I brought Tim's name up during our small group prayer time. It just wasn't a matter of requesting prayer for him, it was also an opportunity to share Tim's witness and how vocal he was about his confidence in what eternity held for him. My condolences to Tim's family....and may they, like Tim, experience His peace that passes all understanding.
Darn,i was hopeing to read he was doing better...how sad.He sure had a good outlook on life, even knowing it was coming to a close. We will miss you Tim,RIP
