Pro Built 1970 455. Built with only the best parts moslty from TA Performance such as Timing cover, grooved cam bearings, Stage 2 aluminum heads, shaft roller rockers, SP1 intake, TA310 cam, ARP rod bolts, main studs, Holly race carb, MSD distributor, etc. Engine is .030 over, TRW pistons w/ total seal rings, It was dyno'd at a 500 hp and I think the TQ was in the 560lb-ft range but I cannot find the dyno sheet. It would make a lot more HP with a larger cam but when I had it build we wanted something that would be easy to drive on street. Included is a rebuit TH400 trans. Both the engine and trans have less than 500 miles on them. Around $15k invested. Asking $7500 for everything.

I have the recpt from the shop that built the engine, I guess you could call it a build sheet. He listed all the machine work that he did plus gave me a list of some of the internal parts I needed to buy from TA Performance. But I've some how lost the dyno sheet, recpt for the dyno and the recpt for the parts that I bought. I do have a list I wrote down when I ordered all the parts though.

I think it was in the 9.5/10-1 range.

For this kind of money you really need to know more about what you are selling.

When was the engine built? When was the last time it was started? Are those shorty headers? Was the engine in the riv? Could you post your build /receipt.
    Thanks Allen

The engine was built in 2004. We had it installed in the '65 Riviera in 2006. In 2007 the car was crushed from the windshield back by one big ass oak tree. We took out the engine in 2008 and that was the last time it ran. Its been sitting in a garage since. After the engine was installed it was driven back from the shop then driven a couple times close to home. When I say there is 500 miles on the engine it most likely is 2-300 miles. Plus the time it spent being dyno tuned when originally built. It was WAY too much engine for the 65. Those cars are not meant for that much HP and torque.

Yes, those are shorty headers. One tube on the drivers side had to be relocated to fit in the car and its a pretty crappy job that I would fix if I end up keeping the engine.

I'll either email or PM the recpts I have plus the parts list to you. Thanks

I would be interested in any more build or dyno info you have available.

Private message would be fine if you don't want to post it.

    Hi,
I've got a '65 Riv that I've been thinking of putting a 455 into. Would you be so kind as to share some info on how you did your install? What engine mounts, frame mounts, trans mount, radiator, and trans crossmember did you use? Any other tips or specifics you can share would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Nick
