    That is a nice one.

I would not exactly call it Pure Stock ready.
It has been personalized a little.
Since it is a GT, a white "C stripe" on the side would look killer.

It is in the same state as Hodges.
Steve, you need to add a Ford to your collection.

Steve is about 2 1/2 hours away from there and I am about 3 1/2. Give me a reason to come up to the Christmas party!!!! Dan Jensen was talking this weekend about needing some hot Fords to show up to the Pure Stocks!!!!

Only 7 Ford/Mercury showed up this past September.
We only out numbered the AMC's by 1.

The Stude's even out number the Ford/Mercury crowd.
    They had 10 in competition.

Hoping to help out and have 1 more in the spring! Ready that is, NOT a new one.
The Torino deserves to be let out of it's cage.
I think Mr.Tuttle needs to check this one out.

No. And the Torino mentioned above would need tailpipes added to make it legal.

I thought the Black 428 68 Fairlane at the last Pure Stock race was impressive:TU: Just a mean piece

It sure looked good and if it got Tom's praise it must be a 4 spd.

So the info he had showed that there was only one 428CJ 4 spd GT Torino? I just looked at a black 4 spd car near me for a friend

The Marti reports seem to break down every car long enough on the options until its a one of one.Cool facts but a bit missleading when some of the details are left out.

So was there only 1 with a 4 spd? Thats a question my buddy would love to know. The car I looked at was bucket setas and console mounted Hurst shifted SCJ maybe thats the difference

My guess is there might have been one 4spd with that peticular set of options and gear ratio and color and trim.I am sure there was many 4 spd cars built.

Only one 4-speed Torino GT Cobra Jet fastback in 1968.

I know it doesn't make sense, but that's what it is. Why 4-speed available on the Mustang? I suspect it was a fit issue? I dunno . . . but certainly the prevailing wisdom is such that only automatics available for midsize CJ cars in 1968.

Update the car I looked at was a 69:Dou: So maybe there is only 1 4 spd . The car I was looking at was a SCJ fastback. Got to be hard to make sure your getting the lemans rods in one of these. Al the other stuff was there though. Nice car with good lines

So then it says "1 with this engine/trans combination" or is it at the end of the long breakdown you get with an elite report? i have a hard time believeing its the ONLY one made with a 4 speed. :Do No:

as for a fit issue, hows that? a 428 is the same dimensionally as a 390 and they made plenty og those with 4 speeds. i'd like to see a picture of that marti report.
