Q-Jet. Is it worth rebuilding?

I've got a 4 barrel on the 455 I imported to the UK.

Although I usually run all my V8's on Propane I will be running this one dual fuel until I get used to it.

The question is. Am I best off rebuilding the Q-Jet or spending my money on an Edelbrock?

    Cheers

Spend the money on a holley spreadbore rather than going thru the hassel of adapting a sq. bore to the spbore manifold.

I'd rebuild the existing Q-jet in a heartbeat. Simple, cheap, easy. An afternoon project except for re-bushing the throttle bores--and who knows, you may be lucky enough to not need that service.

I've run a Holley spreadbore on a boat; it was "ok". We pulled it off to install a 3310 vacuum secondary carb and that ran better.

I've not run Edelbrock/Carter carbs on my own vehicles. They're "ok" but nothing special.
