What does it cost to have 1 of these rebuilt. I'm not sure if I'm going to do it myself, or send it out to be done. I just wanted to check out prices right now.
    Thanks

Local shop might be $150 or so. My John Osborne carb was $200 about 5 years ago. Add a re-dye and it's $300 or so.

How much work does it need? If you don't need/want to get the shafts bushed, and the air horn isn't warped, you can put a rebuild kit in it yourself for under $20.

That said, I sent my 750 CFM Q-jet with REALLY warped airhorn/body and leaking throttle shafts to John Osborn along with a basketcase 800 CFM carb, and got back a really nice 750 CFM one, all jetted / set up for my application, total bill was right at $220, shipping included. And it runs GREAT!

    Where's John Osborn

Several people have referred to John Osborn but somebody needs to give us a contact # or e-mail for him. Please help our carbs find the elusive Osborn.

You're right - here's his email: JOP455@aol.com. Don't have his phone # handy, maybe somebody else can beat me to it...
