hey guys and gals...newbie John here!
I've been taking the time to check some of this great forum out, and I came across this section of the forum. I must say I'm kinda surprised seeing all this "praise God" and prayer posts and the like. Don't get me wrong, I'm christian through and through 100%...ya should here my life story, then you'd know WHY I am:Brow:

But I'm curious now as to the faith's of people here...how many believers do we have here?

I'm a follower of Christ. The rotten things I used to do until I accepted Christ still make me ill. Nice to know I'm forgiven.

Wow, it's great to see so many believers...and more importantly believers with BUICKS! No better people to run with God than buick christians..:Brow:

<laugh> Now there's a term you'd rarely find in a church...a Buick Christian. "So John what are your beliefs?" "Who me? Ohh, I'm a Buick Christian"

    annnyhew...

Well lets see where to start...:Do No:

Okay, well I was born with a form of muscular dystrophy, which is a neuro-muscular disease that affects..uhh...the muscles.:Dou:
My case is a extremely rare and tricky one at that. Those my first miracle is that I can at least still walk and stuff...just not that good. But I'd rather have not that good than not at all.

Well lets say school was not at all fun. Everyday I'd come home with bruises, black eyes, lumps, bumps, I was tossed around like a rag doll, had my head delibretly introduced to a sharp broken section of an old school desk, tripped, punched, kicked, spat on, even had kids try to attempt and strangle me with a jump rope.

Most of which were by the hands of those that I known and trusted as friends...some friends huh? My parents transferred me to a christian academy, which was held under our church building...lets just say things there were the same if not even more so brutal. My teachers looked the other way, my principal blamed it all on me. My administrators and head principal, which was the pastor and his wife despised me and my parents, thus made our lives hell. My mother couldnt even carry the bookbag of her "disabled" son...cuz the pastors wife said it would, basically said not make me into a man, but rather a momma's boy...so they screwed me over so much.

Then I developed scoliosis and needed to have surgery, which was life threatening for me. But not only did they fix me up, but even more than they even thought possible. I was surrounded by christian doctors and nurses....which it doesnt take a genious to figure out that the Lord set that up for me.

Other than that, my family has moved 5 times, three of those times were renting, and two we own. We lost our very frst home down in Union Beach, NJ, and my parents had to go basically with forclosure. The foundation was a mess, then the flood, and bills....it was just horrible. But now the Lord gave us a nice little home in North Brunswick, NJ.

This story can go on for a while, there is just so much bad stuff to list, but after reading this tip of the iceberg, I think you can probably figure out how I came to be a believer...I mean how can ya not after going through this in just 20 years alone.

So thats my little sad song. Anyone else?

Oh hey, is there going to be any fellow believers coming to the gathering in Homdel in June?:Brow:
