Can someone tell me the difference between these two kits, besides the price? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-1921 vs https://quadrajetparts.com/quadrajet-rebuild-buick-1966-chevy-1967-pontiac-p-562.html They may not be for the exact same carb, but my question is why the $100 difference in price? Is the Elderbrock that more complete? (Note that Elderbrock says it is for Rochester too.)
Look at the special attention at the bottom of the overview. It says fits Edelbrock carburetors only.
Without seeing contents of both kits in detail, difficult to comment. BUT, since our very own Buick guru Greg Gessler owns and operates QuadrajetParts.com (formerly Gessler Head Porting), I'd go that way for knowing that plus the cost savings, hands-down. Devon
Nothing wrong with quadrajet parts .com kits. I frequently use them. That's the way I would go. W/ the Eddie kit, you're paying for the name imo.
Those Edelbrock kits will NOT work for your Buick carb, they only fit 1910/1902 or they 1903-1906, then another one for the 1910, or something along those lines. I put my kits together for the part number provided so your get the correct parts, and everything needed to do a compete/correct rebuild..... https://cliffshighperformance.com/product/quadrajet-rebuild-kit-sr
Those “Elderbrock” kits are way overpriced, esp when there are better, less expensive kits available, aka at least Cliff’s.
Thanks - it sounds like there is nothing in the edelbrock kit to justify the price except the name on the package, or maybe because they are used in the Edelbrock "Q-jet". I'm not currently buying a kit, just learning. If I do it will be from our fine board members!
Board members are the only ones I'd trust to get the correct Buick parts The ELDABROCK lololol kit probably has 2 pieces you can use
