This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Questions on Wholesale Car Order Form...

Discussion in 'The "Paper Trail"' started by Icez72GS3504spd, May 2, 2005.

I just got my Microfilm information on my GS from the Sloan Museum, and I have a few questions about some of the options that my car came with:

-G4(Positive Traction Differential) which is what my car came with, I also see that there is a "Performance Axle with Positive Trac." Is what my car came with a 10-Bolt Posi and the Performance Axle a 12-Bolt one? Or is there a difference in the gears?

-H6(Rallye Firm Ride and Handling), I'm not sure what this meant exactly.

-L2(Soft-Ray Tinted Windshield) again, not sure what is exactly is either.

-OC(Door Guards and Outside Rear View Sport Mirrors), not sure what the Door guards are

-UD(Convenience Group and Instrument Gauges and Rallye Clock), I get everything except for the Courtesy Lights. Where would they be in the car?

-V2(Chrome Plated Wheels), are these the Standard Buick Chrome Rims? Or maybe the Rallye Rims?

-X1(Deluxe Steering Wheel), In the 72 Chassis Manual, they show a diagram of the Standard Wheel, then they show an N30 Option or a N31 Option. I am assuming that one of those is the Deluxe, and the Other is the Rallye one. I am not sure which is which.

If anyone could clarify this for me, it would be much obliged!

    Hi Isaac -

G4 is your 'normal' gear ratio, standard for your car, with a posi (I don't have my books with me, but I think it's a 3.08:1). The G1 would be something like a 3.42:1 posi.

H6 - rear sway bar and boxed control arms

L2 - Your windshield is tinted a little darker than your other 5 windows

OC - Door guards are thin metal strips running vertically along the door edge

UD - Courtesy lights - lights on the sail panels, as opposed to a single light in the headliner.

V2 is the Buick Chrome Rim (14 inch), also called Rallye Rims

X1 is UPC N30, according to your manual

Can you please post the selling dealership information? Thanks!

Thanks Marco for the Information, its a great help!

I am not sure what you would need other than the dealer name, but here's what I got from them:

    Dealer Name
    ------------
    Don Jacobs Buick, Inc.
    Waukesha, WI
(This dealership is still in business, and its literally 1 minute away from my house)

    Invoice Date
    ------------
    12/06

    Zone/Dealer Charged
    --------------------
    30-110

    Invoice Number
    ---------------
    4A-334860

    Invoice Amount
    ---------------
    3629.60

    NVI Hours
    ---------
    2.4

    Order Number
    -------------
    JC7335

...And then it goes into Color, Trim, Body#, etc... It also turns out that my GS came with the 4 Speed Floor Shift Transmission too which is very cool.
