  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Justin, It is up to you to attend. I can only say from my perspective ( which may be diffrent from yours) That I enjoyed the comradere of the event last year. There is plenty of time before and during The racing portion of this event to relax and BS with everyone. I reccommend you to talk with Nick Sloop. He also lives around Houston to get an Idea of how the event was last year.

The good thing was that there was only 4 Fights ... (joke)

Also--if noise is a problem---this is not like going to one of those "supertracks" where the damn P.A. speakers are turned up so loud that by the end of the day you feel like wringing the neck of the announcers (anyone that has been to a large event at Houston or Ennis knows what I mean). The whole place is pretty close quarters---but it is not particularly noisy---we will be gathering and hanging out in the pit area. The track is right next to it. Sure-there are some loud cars there but this is not a top fuel track or anything like that. Easy enough to carry on a conversation in the pit area while cars are running. Very laid-back atmosphere and facility....and the BS'ing and car viewing doesn't stop when the racing starts---people still hanging out by the cars (remember not all the cars there will be racing) and in the stands--and drifting back and forth. We'd love to have you come on out and join the fun. Here's what to expect:
Get there around noon. We will all be arriving about that time and will have an impromptu car show. (No judging, just everyone showing off their rides.) Folks will hang out, say hello to old friends and meet news ones. There should be limitless food when the grill gets fired up, courtesy of our sponsors. (You could easily get your $12 worth in food!) There will be T-shirts for sale, and probably be door prizes (at least there were last year.)

The racing will start about 5:00pm. Where we park is pretty far from the track itself, and almost all of the participating cars will be street cars with mufflers. There should be no noise problem in the parking/socializing area.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
    Nick
