I have decided to sell my 1968 Empi Imp dune buggy. I know it is not a Buick but I will give the board here the first shot on owning a true classic. Street legal in Michigan with a title/ clear. Has not been driven on or off the road since 1987 and dry stored since. It still has the 1987 plates on it. This is not some home made or backyard poorly assembeld buggy. It is purple metalflake with a powder coated frame to match. 4 seater with a bimini top and side windows to match. Full gauges, 2 sets of tires but they are dry rotted and should be replaced. 2 engines come with the buggy. Neither are in the car at present but one is slightly modified and the other is high performance and needs to be assembeld. One is a 1620 and the other has been bored out. The fiberglass is very thick and shiny with one small scratch approx. 2 inches long. No gouges or cracks anywhere on it. Quality chrome that is original. All the wiring is fused and marked. The gas tank needs to be boiled out due to old gas which is now a varnish mixture. My research shows that very few of the original ones are left and this one is in good to excellent condition. Look up empi imp and you can see the rest of the details on the company and how they were manufactured. These are as good or better that the Myers manx models and alot harder to duplicate much less locating an original intact one. Pm me with your e-mail address and I will send detailed pictures. Price is $ 7500.00 and I will store until Spring/ Summer of 2008 once payment is received. Otherwise I will take this jewel to Silver Lake sand park near Muskegon Michigan this summer and get $10,000.00 for it. The new owner of this Buggy will not be disappointed with any aspect of this quality dune buggy. Regards, Upstaged

I am going to get the motor(s) assembeld and installed in the Empi to get it road ready. I am looking forward to getting 25 plus MPG once Spring/ Summer arrive. I will get it up to Silver Lake this summer and take intersted parties for a sand "ride" . Regards, Upstaged

I have lowered the price to $5500.00 firm for everything mentioned in the ad, including storage. My sources tell me that this buggy will get about 26 miles per gallon, on or off the road. Upstaged in Michigan
