  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things.   3. The "Group Buy" for the 1967-68 Deluxe Steering wheel recasting is now officially "Open". Now is the time to start sending in the wheels. The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. If you send in more than one wheel, each additional wheel will cost $700. Shipping and insurance to Kochs and return shipping will be extra. RE:400 swap from 350

    Hey all I just got a 400 that was rebuilt and my 350 is original still with 200+ mls, so my question is how easy is it to do a swap is there a length difference? thnx in advance for any and all help.....oh yeah my car is a 70' lark 2dr :Do No:

    I believe the motor mounts and fan shroud. Shouldn't be anything else....For more info, try doing a search on the board..

    Not too bad. Might be a different mount. The 400 trans is a little longer, and uses a different front yoke. The driveshaft will have to be shortened. The crossmember has to come back a little. You have to hook up an electric kickdown (THM 350 uses a cable) Vacuum modulator comes out the side of the trans on the 400 (out the back on the 350), so the vacuum line needs to be modified. That's about it I think, I'm sure I forgot something. Is your 400 a short shaft? (4" extension housing)

    I have the short tail shaft is this good for my car or is this one for a truck the guy who had the rebuild done had three trucks and a Rivi...He passed so I have no way of knowing what it was to be used in his daughter gave it to me for cleaning out the garage....Oh yeah how much do I need to have cut off of the drive shaft? I was told by a friend(chevy guy) that I couldn't use my same u-joints I have to get a custom one that goes from a 4spd to a 350 drive line is this true?
