Thanks for posting those, Yards. I am living vicariously through you with this resto. If Nick is shooting color next weekend, I'll be crashing on your family room floor so I can be there to witness it in person!
I'm not sure, Nick will have to answer that, haven't talked to him in a while. I believe an Epoxy. For that I guess the entire (real) story of the wagon will have to be revealed..... Thanks Carl, yes it is looking good and progress is being made, which couldn't have been said for the past several years!
The wearin' o' the green! Basecoat should be totally done by now, and by bedtime I should post pics of it in clearcoat! <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/?action=view¤t=1201091205.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/1201091205.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/?action=view¤t=1201091206b.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/1201091206b.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/?action=view¤t=1201091207.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/1201091207.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/?action=view¤t=1201091207a.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/1201091207a.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/?action=view¤t=1201091207b.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/1201091207b.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/?action=view¤t=1201091208.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/1201091208.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/?action=view¤t=1201091208a.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/1201091208a.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/?action=view¤t=1201091210.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/1201091210.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/?action=view¤t=1201091210a.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/1201091210a.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/?action=view¤t=1201091211.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/1201091211.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/?action=view¤t=1201091217.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/1201091217.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/?action=view¤t=1201091221b.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/1201091221b.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/?action=view¤t=1201091222.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/gsx3/1201091222.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Thanks again for posting pics, Yards! Looks nice and straight- can't wait to see the cleared version! Man, I'm pumped!!!! All these years the car just sat and now it's coming back to life! Here's the lowest point and where it all began with me on this board with all you great folks! It's come a long way, baby! Nick's doing a great job. :TU:
I was wondering that myself. Maybe that was in a different thread? It certainly was a classic. MJ was even there, RIP Michael. And, Alan, your famous quote that day, "It's amazing how a few guys with a coupla hours can turn an otherwise perfectly running car into a pile of scrap metal". Truer words never spoken. ou:
Jesus... SIX years ago come the 13th! WOW!!! By the 13th I expect to have the painted body mated to the show-stopping rolling chassis that we all oogled over in Ohio this past summer. Then I have to badger Nick into letting me assist doing the wiring, installing the carpet and seats and the reat of the interior. Nicky will have to do the dashboard... that thing is totally in pieces and looks intimidating...
... not correcting you, but fir historical purposes the exact quote was Seriously though, This "Swarm" meathod has alot going for it. Two guys under the car, two guys infront and couple doing odds and ends......and before you know it, a whole, running and driving car becomes a static Pile of parts !!! Try it sometime.... You know how long your resto has taken ? 7 ... Yardley Picnics 6 ... BPG nats 5 ... D I A M O N D Rings (in value) 4 ... Riviera's 3 ... Posts on V8 2 ... Motor rebuilds (was going to say - 2 different Wives but didn't want to go there) ... And Saint Nick @ Ivy ... Laaaand
           Great...now I've got diet Coke all over my screen....
What's a meathod? Maybe I don't want to know.... It's ok, you could've gone with the two wives (although you owe Brad some computer parts). I think it's a testimony to perseverance to keep the car in the first place and to keep some level of momentum through two wives. At least wife #2 is really anxious to see it done and doesn't consider it a money pit! (That question was on the pre-marriage vetting questionaire that I have signed and notarized in an undisclosed location.) Now you can change your quote to "before you know it a whole running, driving car becomes a static shiny object you're too afraid to drive" ou:  :ball:
