found a 10 bolt 3.08 rear end in town out of a 72 pontiac ventura anyone know if this will bolt right into my 72 skylark (w/ 2.56 10bolt 8.2) unsure if it is the 8.2 or the 8.5 but it is a 4link coilspring style is it the same width and same mounts? I hope it will work cause its only $75 it may need new bearings but hey thats easy enough just need to know if it will bolt right in so I can go buy it or not.
well then that is not what is out of ,the guy has had it for 20 yeras or so and thought thats what it came from but i guess not I called him and he said it was a 4 link so I guess i might just have some measuring to do if it is the same width then i just have to worry about mount locations right? or did they even have different locations between buick and pont?
driveline length thanks for the heads up on that that wouldn't have been noticed probably until it was attempted to be put in
the rear end was an 8.5 out of something else that wont fit mounts in wrong spot and it was a 2.41 so nogo on that one
