Wasn't sure where to post this, but anyways....
I have heard of folks using magnetic sign stock, sometimes even painted to match car , to protect lower rear quarters from burnout debris when at the track.
I was wondering if anyone has tried this spray on/ peel off product?

My paint is 3 years old , roughly, so I may give it a go. It's gutta beat scrubbing tire rubber off nice paint day after .....

You can use it or the 3m clear plastic overlay.

Used it last Streetnight at the track.

Worked fine, had to scrub some off around the edges with bug tar remover, so I'm still scrubbing, but it keeps the burnt rubber from inbedding into the paint...JIM

That stuff looks like it works pretty well. I wonder how long it stays pliable for longer term use like for spraying the front of the hood for road trips or whatever?

I buy a roll of painters tape and just tape the rear quarters. Then peel it off at the end of the day.

Ya know Larry , that is probably the most economical of all the methods and possibly the least time consuming.....JIM

The stuff is for coating rims, making bra's for the front of your car etc, so I imagine quite awhile.
