I'm finishing up some last little things before I finally get my car on the track, and the big one is trailing arms. I don't feel safe racing it with the factory arms out back, along with the worn bushings, so I'm preparing to replace them. What brand (doesn't have to be too fancy or adjustable, do you recommend running, or would I be better off cleaning up what I have, having the lowers welded, and putting on new bushings.

    Thanks,

    Jon

P.S. If anyone is selling any, I'd be looking to buy.

Tyler uses Spohn for uppers, lowers and drag bar.

Thanks for the responses guys. I don't know that I'm looking to spend that kind of money at the moment though. I understand from reading that polyurethane bushings along with the boxed arms can lead to cracking at the connections as they don't allow for as much give in the axle when turning corners. Have any of you experienced trouble with that, as that seems to be the most effective and cheapest setup for straight line performance, though longevity is important to me as this is primarily a street car. I was looking at these : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/68-7...arQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_740wt_941

    Thanks in advance.

Phil It really *is* a 350...

I have UMI upper control arms that I bought last summer and plan on putting on soon. They're the fully adjustable rod-end models.

The lower control arms I made myself back in '90 or '91 with 1-1/2" x 3" rectangular box tubing and polygraphite bushings. I think the steel tubing cost me all of $6.00. The bushing kit cost me far more than that.

I've got a Spohn drag bar to install too, amd I'm looking at UB Machine for the front upper and lower A-Arms.

Thanks for all the replies. One thing I was wondering is if anyone knows, for a fact, whether a rectangular "boxed" style control arm would be stronger or weaker than the tubular types.

I have the PMT upper adjust and the non adjust lower. They seem like real nice pieces for the price. They are in the car but have not run them yet.
